Congratulations to Sarah Herman, a junior at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls, for qualifying for the final round of Michlala Jerusalem College’s Math Ulpaniada. After returning from SKA’s Berlin kiruv trip on March 18, Sarah went to Israel that motzaei Shabbat to participate in the final stage of the Ulpaniada, a math-skills and logical-reasoning competition for Orthodox girls. Sarah stayed on campus with 12 other girls and competed with 60 students–out of 8,000 applicants. The Ulpaniada was held on March 25, and other days were spent touring Israel, courtesy of Michlala. “It was an incredible experience,” Sarah says, “and a lot of fun!”
