A JNS Tribute To PM Netanyahu

This past Sunday at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun on the Upper East Side, there was a great tribute to Israel that coincided with the visit of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his speech at the UN last Friday, and his meeting at the White House with President Trump on Monday.

The event was sponsored by the Jewish News Syndicate and included several important addresses by leading personalities in media as well as the Trump administration. JNS Director Alex Traiman served as master of ceremonies and received rightful tribute along with his staff for their excellent news coverage that serves as an important counterbalance to the mainstream media, which vilifies Israel and her leaders on a daily basis.
We heard from radio personality and Fox News host Mark Levin, who was the keynote speaker. This event came on the eve of Trump introducing his 21-point peace plan to end this interminable war in Gaza and hopefully bring the hostages home.
Levin is close to Trump and believes there has never been an American president who cared so much for Israel as Mr. Trump. At the top of his agenda is to save lives, and that means all lives.
In addition to Mark Levin, we heard emphatic remarks from Leo Terrel, who heads the Federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism. We also heard from Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, and Consul General of Israel in New York Ofir Akunis.
Everyone present knew there was something big potentially brewing on the matter of ending this Gaza quagmire and rescuing the remaining hostages, those alive and otherwise. Now, the greatest country in the world, the country with the world’s best military has to wait for a response from a collection of lowlife terrorists.
By the time you read these words, they may have issued their response. But on the other hand, as Mr. Levin pointed out, how can you trust these people (if that’s what we can call them)? In addition, Levin asked rhetorically how we can trust a country like Qatar, who funds and supports Hamas and terrorists around the world?
