Tucker And The Rebbe

By: Larry Gordon

A curious aspect of today’s Jew-hatred that is being displayed so openly and widely is just that—it’s no longer hidden or deniable. It’s out there for everyone to see and join in if they so desire.

Tucker Carlson, once a venerated TV journalist, has deteriorated both personally and professionally to the point that he can no longer hide his extreme hostility for Israel and the Jewish people. Today, he wears his antisemitism on his sleeve as well as on the tip of his tongue. He feels that he has won a bonanza of sorts and proudly parades erroneous facts and figures about what he has “discovered” about the Jews.

The odd thing about Carlson is that, similar to the phenomenon of “October 8th Jews,” he may have done more for increasing Jewish pride and awareness than few others, aside from Hamas and the Ayatollahs over the last few years.

Carlson’s latest breakthrough last week was revealed to be Chabad. For him, it was a new piece of information that he only discovered was probably the worst kept secret of the Jewish people over the last 50 years. But that didn’t stop Carlson from pronouncing what he believed to be this heretofore unknown revelation.

Our readers are aware that Chabad is the most well-known and innovative movement in bringing Jews back to Judaism. Carlson thought that his discovery was so new and exciting that he had to spell it out for his listeners, explaining that it was C-H-A-B-A-D. More than that, Tucker also thought he was revealing for the first time that the man who led the movement was named Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, more previously unknown facts revealed to the public by Tucker’s “exposé.”

But Carlson, the former respected newsman, does not stop there. His next great piece of “news” was that it was somehow Chabad’s objective—perhaps with a military they don’t yet possess—to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount and build the third Beit HaMikdash (words that Tucker does not know yet).

All of Tucker’s behavior fits the description of a person who seems to be dealing with a cross between obsessiveness and madness. Tucker Carlson’s big edge, or so he thought, was his close relationship with President Trump. But that seems to have ended last week when Trump said, “Tucker has lost his way. I knew that a long time ago and he’s not MAGA. MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first and Tucker is none of those things and Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that.”

The concern to many on this matter is two things. First is the close relationship between Tucker Carlson and Vice President JD Vance, and the second is that one of Carlson’s children is on the VP’s staff. It’s early in the process, but if Vance has serious designs on running for president, at some point he will have to distance himself or separate himself from Carlson’s Jew-hatred.

At the same time, in New York City over the weekend, two teenage ISIS-inspired terrorists were charged with lighting a pair of improvised explosive devices near Gracie Mansion and providing material support to ISIS, while a “Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City” event and a counter demonstration against Islamophobia devolved into chaos outside the mayor’s home. Before knowing anything about what was going on outside Gracie Mansion, the mayor bizarrely announced that this type of activity near his official residence was the work of “white supremacists.”

Just a few hours later, it was revealed by police that the two would-be terrorists were Muslims from Pennsylvania. One teen’s family was from Turkey, the other from Afghanistan. So much for Mamdani’s obsession with white supremacy. As of earlier this week, the mayor has yet to mention the Muslim background of either attacker, who could have endangered his life.

At the same time, while Tucker was revealing that the problems of the world need to be attributed to Chabad, we also learned how Mamdani’s wife, Rama Duwaji, liked over 100 social media posts after October 7, showing her support for the rape and murder of Jewish men, women, and children during that deadly attack. [For further information on Rama Duwaji’s public support of Islamic terror, please see Rabbi Efrem Goldberg’s article on page 1.]

When Mamdani was asked about his wife’s position on the horrible and violent atrocities perpetrated against Israel, all the mayor could say was that his wife was “the love of his life” and that she was not on his mayoral staff and has her own opinions.

At this point, Mayor Mamdani is surrounded by more controversy than anyone in New York City history during his young administration. Muslim teens who identify with ISIS have their terror attacks attributed by Mamdani to white supremacists, and his wife is out there publicly supporting and showing her affection for Hamas terrorists and the murder of Jews.

At the same time, Congressman Dan Goldman, whose wife attended Stern College of Yeshiva University, was excoriated for his wife’s online comments in support of Israel. In one instance, she liked a post from @EndWokeness that depicted people holding a “Jews for Palestine” sign with the message, “Chickens for KFC.” She also liked posts suggesting that people who support “Free Palestine” should be sent to Gaza to live.

In this situation, Goldman, who was in Israel with his family on October 7, was forced into the uncomfortable position of having to distance himself from his wife’s comments, explaining that his wife’s social media activity should not be construed as representing his views. “Like most married couples, my wife and I do not always share the same views, and any tweets she has liked as a private citizen do not speak for me,” Goldman said.

Zohran Mamdani didn’t come close to criticizing his wife’s hateful and dangerous comments, nor did he come anywhere near to apologizing or backtracking on her positions.

Of course, the big difference is that Goldman is being challenged in a primary with New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, who is Jewish and a close supporter of Mayor Mamdani. You can rest assured that Goldman’s wife’s comments supporting Israel will be held against him by his primary opponent, Mr. Lander. On the other hand, all Mayor Mamdani says about his wife liking posts about beheading children and murdering Jewish women is that she is the “love of his life.”

So no, this is not about Mamdani being Muslim—that’s fine and good. It’s a chapter out of the Tucker Carlson-Candace Owens playbook that says Jews are the scourge of society.

As stated above, many Jews grew closer to their Jewishness after October 7th such that they are referred to as “October 8th Jews.” Now Tucker Carlson has told the world about Amalek, Har HaBayit, Chabad, and the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

As President Trump indicated last week, Carlson behaves badly, is immoral, and violates social norms. Zohran Mamdani has said that he is accustomed to being treated badly because he is Muslim. Is that why he feels that it’s okay to treat Jews with anathema and hostility, and honor those like Mahmoud Khalil, who led student riots at Columbia University and celebrated the Hamas murder and rape of Jews on October 7th?

This week Senator Ted Cruz said he believes that Carlson is the most dangerous demagogue in our country. “And I made the decision that I am going to take him on directly,” Cruz said.

On the subject of the purpose of creating this world, the Lubavitcher Rebbe wrote that the objective was a lower world like ours with the opportunity for the Jewish people to make that lower world fit for holiness and G-dliness.

The Rebbe asked, “What does G-d mean by a lower world?” In other words, how low is true lowness? The Rebbe responds by saying that low means a lowness of which there is nothing lower.

And that is where Tucker Carlson comes into the picture.
