Yeshiva University Launches Groundbreaking Online Undergraduate Degree Program and Immersive Israel Experience
Students will earn a Yeshiva University bachelor’s degree in a program that pairs in-person Torah study with a world-class business education.
Yeshiva University in Israel, an innovative new program for men and women who want to build their future in Israel while earning a YU Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Global Business & Innovation brings together the best of both worlds. With a fully online YU undergraduate degree, giving students the flexibility to earn a world-class business education from YU faculty, and an immersive Israel-based experience centered on structured Torah study, community, and dynamic student life, it’s a new way to experience YU—earning your degree online while living, learning, and growing in Israel.
“The bond between Yeshiva University and the State of Israel has always been central to who we are,” said Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University. “Yeshiva University in Israel is a natural expression of that enduring connection, bringing together rigorous Torah learning, academic excellence, and the extraordinary opportunity to live and study in Jerusalem. We are preparing a new generation of leaders whose commitment to Torah, Israel, and the Jewish people will shape our shared future.”
With distinct programs for men and women, students complete YU’s business curriculum through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online coursework while deepening their Torah learning through daily, in-person shiurim with Yeshiva University rabbeim and mechanchot in dedicated batei midrash on separate campuses. Comprehensive academic advising, student support, and career services provide a strong foundation for success throughout the undergraduate experience.
The Global Business & Innovation major prepares students to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving global economy. Beyond the classroom, students build their lives in Jerusalem through modern housing, engaging student programming, extracurricular activities, mentorship, internship support, and a built-in community rooted in growth, connection, and purpose.
From the first day of classes through graduation, students remain part of one Yeshiva University undergraduate journey. They earn a full YU degree while learning from YU faculty, building lasting relationships with mentors and peers, and taking part in the academic, professional, and campus opportunities that distinguish a Yeshiva University education. Reflecting Yeshiva University’s vision for the future of undergraduate education in Israel, the program offers a powerful new path for students determined to stay in Israel without compromising the breadth of a YU education.
“Our goal is to establish a true Yeshiva University undergraduate experience for students living in Israel—one that reflects the same standards and values students expect from YU,” said Dr. Selma Botman, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. “Academically governed by YU, from the curriculum and faculty to academic advising, student support, and programming, each decision was intentionally designed to ensure students receive the quality and continuity that define a Yeshiva University education.”
The inaugural women’s pilot cohort will begin in January 2027. Additional cohorts for women and for men will follow in September 2027.
