Assemblyman Brown Meets With RFK Jr. And Dr. Oz To Advance Health Care Reform Agenda

Assemblyman Brown Meets with Dr. Oz
Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) met with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz at the U.S. Department of Health in Washington, D.C., to discuss the future of America’s federal health policy. The meeting brought together two nationally recognized leaders known for diagnosing challenges quickly and offering bold, results-driven solutions. Brown said this administration is setting a new standard for health care policy and expressed optimism about continued reforms that put Americans’ health first.
“At a time when both health problems and health care costs are on the rise, this administration is stepping up to make our country healthier and more affordable,” said Brown. “Whether it’s removing ultra-processed foods from our schools or cutting down on waste across our health care systems, this all-star duo is delivering real results for millions of Americans. I was proud to stand alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Oz, and my Assembly Republican colleagues led by Minority Leader Will Barclay, as we work to make America healthy once again.”
{Assemblyman Brown Slams Pro-Criminal Polices Amid Calls To Repeal Raise The Age
Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) commented on the growing calls to repeal New York’s Raise the Age law. Passed as part of the 2017 state budget, the policy shifted most 16- and 17-year-olds charged with crimes out of adult court and into Family Court or the newly created Youth Part system, a move critics say has opened major gaps in accountability. Under the law, the vast majority of offenses, including many violent felonies, are automatically diverted to Family Court, where penalties are significantly lighter and records are sealed, allowing repeat offenders to cycle through the system with few consequences. Because of the law’s overly broad and progressive language, charges must meet extremely narrow standards to remain in adult court, meaning teens who commit armed robberies, burglaries, assaults or gun-related crimes are frequently prosecuted as juveniles. Brown said this is yet another example of Albany’s misguided “reforms” and reiterated his call for a full repeal of this dangerous policy.
“After months of pandering to pro-criminal Socialists like Zohran Mamdani, Kathy Hochul is finally feeling the heat for her disastrous so-called reforms,” said Brown. “Every time we turn on the news, it’s the same story: repeat offenders and career criminals taking advantage of a system this governor helped create. New Yorkers have had enough, and the tide is clearly turning. Kathy Hochul might be focused on chasing votes from radical leftists, but my priority is keeping our community safe. That’s why one of my top goals this upcoming session is to repeal this failed policy and put an end to these radical reforms once and for all.”
{Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman Applauds President Trump And Secretary Duffy On Massive Public Transit Investment
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman thanked President Donald Trump and Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy for making a massive public transit investment that will greatly benefit Nassau County residents.
The Transportation Department announced it will invest $2 billion to manufacture 2,400 buses that will be delivered to communities in 45 states and Washington, D.C. The agency noted that the buses will be built with American parts and American labor, standing as a testament to President Trump’s “America First” agenda.
County Executive Blakeman thanked President Trump and Secretary Duffy for supporting improvements to public transit while creating local jobs.
“We are grateful to President Trump and Secretary Duffy for this grant that will allow us to operate our buses in a safer and more efficient manner and provide quality public transportation for the residents of Nassau County. In addition, this will provide construction jobs for our building trades,” he stated.
In addition to creating local jobs, officials said the $2 billion investment will reduce traffic congestion and improve the overall public transit experience.
“Delivering new-and-improved bus infrastructure is yet another example of how America is building again under President Trump,” said Secretary Duffy. “Whether it’s to church, school, or work, more people travel by bus than any other form of public transportation. With these grants, thousands of new buses will hit the road and infrastructure will be upgraded—making public transit more efficient, affordable and safe for American families.”
