Central Perk Is Back in Business After Devastating Fire
Now Serving Five Towns with Home Delivery, Takeout & Full-Service Catering as Rebuilding Begins
Just days after a devastating fire forced Central Perk to close its longtime Cedarhurst location, the popular Five Towns eatery is already back in business, firing up the ovens at a newly established satellite kitchen in Atlantic Beach.

For loyal customers who have spent the past several days wondering when they’ll be able to enjoy their Central Perk favorites again, the answer is simple: How about right now?
Operating out of The Shore at Atlantic Beach, located at 1845 Ocean Avenue, Central Perk is once again serving the entire Five Towns community, offering home delivery, walk-in takeout, and full-service catering.
But there’s an important distinction: This is a temporary satellite kitchen, not Central Perk’s permanent new home. Plans are already moving forward to reopen a full-service café in the heart of the Five Towns. The Atlantic Beach operation simply means customers won’t have to wait until then to enjoy the food they love.
For 24 years, Central Perk has been a Five Towns favorite, serving generations of families, friends, students, and professionals who made the café part of their daily routines.
So when news of the fire spread, the reaction was immediate. Along with an outpouring of concern and offers of assistance came a question that seemed to be on everyone’s mind: Was Central Perk gone for good?
Not if owners Moshe and Dini Hirsch had anything to say about it.
Rather than sit back and wait for a new permanent location, Moshe and Dini got to work finding a way to keep serving their customers. Within days, the Atlantic Beach satellite kitchen was established, allowing Central Perk to resume operations while planning for its permanent comeback.
“The outpouring of support we’ve received since the fire has been absolutely overwhelming,” said Moshe Hirsch.
“From the phone calls and messages to the people who reached out offering help, we are truly grateful. After all these years, the Five Towns community is more than just our customers. You’ve become part of the Central Perk family. We want to thank everyone who has stood by us, and we’re especially happy that we’ve been able to get our kitchen up and running so quickly. It’s our way of saying we’re still here for you, just as you’ve always been here for us.”
While the familiar café setting may be temporarily unavailable, Central Perk is making it easier than ever to enjoy its food without leaving home.
Craving your Central Perk favorites? Planning lunch for the office? Need dinner for the family without spending the evening in the kitchen? Central Perk is cooking, and delivery is just a few clicks away.
Customers can order through Uber Eats, Toast, or Sauce, either directly through their preferred app or by visiting TheCentralPerk.com, where links to all three ordering platforms are available.
Prefer picking up your own food? No problem. The satellite kitchen at The Shore at Atlantic Beach, 1845 Ocean Avenue, is also welcoming walk-in customers for takeout and pickup.
Best of all, Central Perk isn’t limiting itself to individual meals. Full-service catering is available for family celebrations, business functions, parties, and other occasions, allowing customers to continue relying on a familiar Five Towns name for their events. In other words, the café may be temporarily closed, but the kitchen is very much open.
In the aftermath of the fire, countless community members have asked how they can help. The answer may be easier, and tastier, than they think. Order lunch. Have dinner delivered. Pick up something for the family. Let Central Perk cater your next bris, sheva brachos, or corporate event.
After over two decades of serving the Five Towns, Central Perk is counting on the same community that has supported it through the years to help make its next chapter possible. The café is coming back. The kitchen is already cooking. And your favorite Central Perk food is back on the menu.
